Shipping Guidelines


Local Delivery is FREE. 

We hand deliver wines to our local Orange County* California area. Here's how:

When placing your order, please use the order comments section at checkout to indicate your preferred delivery date and a 1-hour window between 8am-8pm and we will contact you by email or text to confirm your delivery time.  An adult age 21 or older must be present to receive your order. *Delivery to the LA area is available by special request. 


Domestic orders ship via common carrier 24-48 hours after orders are received and payment processing is complete. FedEx services are available in most States.  Exclusions and restrictions are currently in place for the states of  AL** -  KY -  MS  -  PA  - UT  . 

**Shipping to the state of AL requires that you designate a state operated ABC location as your shipping address. Please use FedEx Ground, FedEx 2-Day, FedEx Express Saver or FedEx Express as your shipping option as ABC locations are considered a business address. 

*GSO-GLS is a regional common carrier in the Western United States and is currently offered in CA - OR - WA - ID - NV - AZ - NM  for the following flat-rates:  1-6 bottles $16.95  |  7-12 bottles $24.95  | 13-24 bottles $48.95. If your order contains more than 2 cases of wine we will contact you with a shipping quote for GSO service. 

ALL wine shipments/deliveries must be received by an adult 21 years of age or older. Photo ID will be requested by delivery driver.  The delivery must be signed for. 


International orders are processed upon request. Please contact us via email at [email protected] for payment information and shipping quotes.  International shipping is offered via FedEx Express and UPS Worldwide.

We Own our Real Inventory - it is updated in real time and items are in stock and ready to ship upon purchase. Your order is not outsourced to a supplier or third party vendor.
In extreme hot or cold weather conditions we will HOLD your wine for better weather and will notify you when your shipment is on the way.
Carrier insurance does not cover wine damage due to weather exposure.
To release a weather hold on your wines we must be notified in writing.

When summer shipping is in effect you will see a banner announcing summer shipping on our homepage. During Summer Shipping, we offer complimentary cold packaging on orders of 4 bottles or more.  Alternatively, you may request to place your paid order on hold for shipping during optimal weather conditions. If you would like to have cold packaging for an order of 3 bottles or fewer, you may purchase cold packaging for $7 by adding the Cold Packaging item to your cart before checkout. Here are some other tips we recommend when purchasing and shipping wines during the warmer summer months:

  • Our 6-pack shippers fare the best in warmer weather and 6 bottles insulate well together.
  • Our shipments originate in California. Consider your regional location when shipping allowing 1-3 days for the Western U.S., 2-4 days for Central, and 4-9 days for Eastern U.S. when using FedEx ground or FedEx Home Delivery. In Central and Eastern U.S. regions, we recommend shipping on a Monday to avoid weekend delays. In the Western U.S., Monday through Thursday are optimal shipping days.
  • We package and deliver your wines directly from our cellar to our local FedEx facility in the evening to minimize transit time in our local weather conditions. These packages leave the Southern California area overnight when temperatures are coolest. Take care to track your package in order to be present for the first delivery attempt and minimize any time spent in transit in your local area.
  • When in doubt, request to have your wines on hold for better weather conditions. It is a service we are glad to provide to all of our valued wine enthusiasts at Falling Bright.
