We never intended to make a white wine. However, we are the adventurous and experimental sort. After learning about a unique and extremely difficult technique for crafting modern white wines we thought it would be a great thing to teach ourselves and a fun challenge. The end result wound up being so compelling and delicious that we decided to bottle it and see how people reacted. The response was overwhelming and it quickly became one of the most sought-after wines that we produce. Needless to say, it is now a staple in our lineup. Our white is a collision between modernity and classic cold climate fruit. It is ripe and full bodied, packed full of citrus and elegant white fruits. Composed entirely of Chardonnay blended from Bien Nacido and Sanford & Benedict. | terre et sangThe 2023 White No. 2 is 100% Chardonnay...aged for 19 months in French oak, 40% new. It swans out of the glass with elegant notes of yellow apples and fresh, crunchy pears, followed by hints of beeswax, marzipan, and orange blossoms with a touch of chalk dust.
