All components fermented separately, partially carbonic for brightness and all whole cluster adding to the complex spice aromas. A blend of Old Vine Zinfandel sourced from the G.B. Crane Vineyard where the vines are over 100 years old as well as sites such as Morisoli Vineyard in Rutherford, Milat Vineyard in St. Helena, and other esteemed vineyards considered to be disciples of the character found at Crane. The Zinfandel gives mouthfulls of blue and black fruits, elderberry, blueberry compote, and damp redwood forest. Pleasing umami sensation of wild Porcini plays around on the mid palate and the impact of Petite Sirah adds extra flesh and texture as well as a characteristic dark coco and cinnamon stick. | Falling Bright
In the NV17, the Cain Vineyard dominates, contributing two-thirds of the total, split evenly between the two vintages, while Merlot grown on the valley floor provides a silky-fruity backdrop....You'll easily find the signature of the Cain Vineyard, with its bright floral and herbal aromatics.
