Located on the river bench of Sonoma County's Russian River Valley, this hillside vineyard benefits from ideal conditions for the Chardonnay vines. The cuttings came from Old Wente, and the field selection is renowned for its excellent quality and richness. This concentration originates from the typical petite size of the berries. Handcrafted using classical Burgundian winemaking techniques, this wine is dedicated to our daughter, Claire Morlet. | Morlet Family Wines...a hazy bright yellow hue and comes from the Ritchie Vineyard in the Russian River Valley. Made entirely from old Wente clone, it's a pure white with a darker hint of delicate reduction, a smoky, stony feel, and notes of ripe apples, melon, orange blossom, and sherbet. It's long on the palate, with a full-bodied feel, and has a deeper, mouthwatering mineral persistence.
