Some people love it, some can't handle it. I have made Petite Sirah since 2013, when I was fortunate enough to get offered an old dry-farmed block at Stolpman Vineyards in Ballard Canyon. This wine can age for decades, or be enjoyed upon release with a generous decant. It is always one of my favorite wines to make, as it is a true challenge to coax out the beast, while still maintaining beauty and elegance.
