A blend of vineyard sites at Frei, Silver Eagle, and Lancel Creek that brings freshness and verve to the varietal. Crisp pear, Opal apple, and orchard blossoms grace the entrance to a gorgeous Chardonnay that finishes on a mineral note with grace and length.
Winemaker Matt Courtney founded Ferren with longtime friend David Wherritt after an eight-year apprenticeship with Helen Turley at Marcassin Vineyard on the Sonoma Coast. The wines are made using traditional Burgundian methods without fining or filtration, and fermentations are carried out exclusively by native flora that arrive on the grapes directly from the vineyards. | Ferren

Bright medium yellow/green-hued, the 2021 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast has a gorgeous, fresh nose of bright flint, delicate oak spice, crystalline starfruit, fresh white flowers, and lime blossoms. Medium-bodied, it's lovely on the palate, with a fantastic chalky texture and a great finish that gently tapers away.
