...My now often-times stolen line has long been...'Grenache delivers what Pinot Noir promises.' Yes, it is a touch odd or even sarcastic, but what I mean by it is that there are similarities of sorts. Grenache has a softness, a lushness, a rose petal side to it that I often associate with great Pinot Noir and although it frequently is richer and more powerful than Pinot Noir, it does have that characteristic. Or it SHOULD have it. | Manfred Krankl for Sine Qua Non...Ripe black raspberries, black cherries, roasted herbs, graphite, and peppery, spicy notes all define the aromatics. It's full-bodied, round, layered, and has incredible purity. This is a killer wine in the making. | 97-99 points, Jeb Dunnuck for jebdunnuck.com
