Post Parade is quintessential Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon crafted by Winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown from two vineyard locations that deserve a mention: Tench Vineyard in Oakville providing a powerful structure and the Red Head Vineyard in the Southeast side of Napa Valley just below Atlas Peak where clone 685 Cabernet Sauvignon gives a plush appeal to the final blend. This is a Cabernet with an intense personality wrapped in a shapely figure.
The 2023 starts out with generous aromatic complexity showing elderberries, garrigue, dried sage, and Thai basil leaf. Black fruit flavors follow on the palate carried in a full body of fleshy fruits supported by firm tannin structure and a polished finish that brings retro-nasal whiffs of graphite and cedar. One moment later, warm blackcurrant cordial repeats the fruit notes, taking you back to the beginning. | Falling Bright
