This vintage we bottled a little over 800 cases of the Bryant Family Vineyard 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Grown on the rocky slopes of Pritchard Hill and farmed organically and biodynamically, the wines in recent years have developed a distinct minerality that hints of graphite and pencil shavings; it has been an interesting quality to observe. Over time, the amount of new oak has naturally lightened, landing at 60% new for the 2023s. The tannins are smooth, the fruit weight is dense, and the finish carries on for minutes. | Bryant Family VineyardsFrom an incredible site on Pritchard Hill that I think is unquestionably one of the greatest terroirs for Cabernet Sauvignon in the world, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon is a barrel sample offering sensationally pure cassis, graphite, violets, and crushed stone. Full-bodied, flawlessly balanced, and multi-dimensional, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon (resting in 60% new French oak) has ripe, polished tannins, integrated acidity, and a heavenly, ultra-pure profile with perfection written all over it... | 99-100, Jeb Dunnuck for jebdunnuck.com
