Our Plum Orchard is a co-ferment of Grenache and Mataro. The two varietals are grown in decomposed sandstone that gives way to elegant fruit and spice. Barrel aged for 22 months in 50% new French oak. It's a lustrous ruby in color with a bouquet of strawberries and crushed violet petals. This medium to full bodied wine is soft and succulent with acidity that carries the juicy red fruit. 272 cases produced. | Turtle Rock Vineyards...a terrific nose of peppery garrigue, black raspberries, and assorted floral notes, with just a kiss of smoked herbs. Full-bodied on the palate, it has a soft, supple, fruit-loaded mouthfeel, integrated tannins, and outstanding length. It's already drinking nicely and should evolve for a decade. | 93 points, Jeb Dunnuck for jebdunnuck.com
