Few out there do this variety better than Jim Binns, and the 2019 Mourvedre is stunning stuff, offering classic smoked meats, iron, ground pepper, kirsch, and darker fruits. I love its tannins, it's full-bodied, and has richness with no sensation of weight or heaviness, followed by a great finish. The blend is 81% Mourvedre, 18% Syrah, and 1% Viognier that saw lots of stems (75%) and will spend 21 months in 50% new wood. | 96-98 points, Jeb Dunnuck for jebdunnuck.com
