Barbera, Dolcetto, Freisa, Nebbiolo, & Grignolino - a collection of varietals from the elevated hills of Mendocino County inspired by Italy's Piedmont. Intriguing, delicious, and haunting. Dark cherry, iron and sanguine notes, warm spices, dried herbs, violets, and graphite are highlights of the aromas. Charbono, Petite Sirah & Malbec. Its dense purple hue is followed by a powerful, ripe, opulent 2019 that gives up lots of black raspberry and blackberry fruits as well as sappy flowers, violets, chocolate, and exotic spices. These all carry to a full-bodied red that brings plenty of richness while staying lively, fresh, and even elegant. It's another gorgeous wine from Morris.
