The vessels we used to raise it are barrels of varying sizes, but also a single concrete egg and even one Italian terracotta Amphora. All the fruit was grown on our own Estate vineyards, the only exception being the Chardonnay which is from our typical block at Bien Nacido. Nothing about this wine is shy or petite - none of our wines would ever be characterized that way - but it behaves with great spring and nuance and a downright lightness of the legs and a certain daintiness and grace and elegance that is alluring and almost teasing...The aromatics are made sprite and forward by the Muscat, but there is a stoniness and minerality that seems kind of old world and chalky.
