The Signature Tasting Trio Includes three sommelier selected 750ml bottles of wine
2018 Stolpman Vineyards Sangiovese | Ballard Canyon, Santa Barbara County California RED
100% Sangiovese. Tom Stolpman planted the original 10 acres of Sangiovese way back in 1994. Today, we are up to 21 planted acres of the grape...aged 22 months in neutral large Ermitage 500L French oak puncheons, Sangiovese's tell-tale acidity and tannins on the finish get the chance to slip into the rich, ripe middle mouthfeel. Fresh red fruit carries the day with a gingerly prance through the palate. Recent releases of rich, decadent reds from our 2018 vintage have led to heightened excitement over the later-released and ultimate crowd favorite, Estate Sangiovese. Firm cherry fruit rides above an intense flow of heady richness. The pretty red fruit delves deep into lusher, darker notes of anise, pine, menthol and vanilla. | Stolpman Vineyards 2019 Bedrock Wine Co. Old Vine Zinfandel | California RED
We already tend to pack some pretty great vineyard sources into this bottling, but our bearish approach to the 2019 vintage means that a lot of juice that normally would have gone into our vineyard-designated wines has trickled down into this offering. The fulcrum of this wine is based around our estate vineyards, with much of it coming from Bedrock (planted in 1888), Nervo (1896), and Sodini (1905) in Sonoma County along with Evangelho (1890s) and Katushas' (1915), with the remainder coming from Teldeschi, Pagani, Old Hill, and Enz Vineyard. If anything, I am a bit concerned this might be too serious for the price point, but I suppose there are better things to lose sleep over. Raised in a wide variety of French and Austrian barrels, puncheons, and ofudres (about 10% new) and only racked at bottling, this wine has a dark core of perfumed, dense fruit. This is a classic California Zinfandel and will go down as one of the best Old Vine bottlings we have made. | Bedrock Wine Co. 2018 Darioush Caravan | Napa Valley, California RED
Holding true to its reverent style as a rich and supple, Right-Bank influenced blend, 2018 Caravan entices with decadent flavors of plum, fig jam, blackberry compote, and chocolate ganache on a silky, sleek frame. Notes of spiced chai, dried currants, and cinnamon add intrigue, harmonizing with the wine's core profile of Cabernet Sauvignon. Bright, energetic, and exceptionally round and concentrated - this is a remarkable wine from a textbook growing season.58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc, 8% Malbec. | Darioush
