Description

2012 Longtable The Gathering | Mount Veeder Napa Valley, California 750ml

The Gathering evolves and Grenache moves toward center-stage with our Syrah, the 2012 shows voluptuous, dark red fruit, savory traces of pepper, game and licorice. Cluster and berry sorting, native yeast fermentation, 15% as whole-cluster Grenache/Syrah sandwich. 22 months in 50% new French oak. 61% Syrah, 32% Grenache, 4% Counoise, 3% Mourvedre. 105 cases produced. | Longtable Wines

With a luscious and full fruited core of marionberry and pie fruits, the entry is so inviting. Moving through to deeper complexity in the midpalate showing black olive, star anise and wild game. Striking a balance between fruit & savory makes for a winning Rhone varietal blend that is very representative of it's California conception. Upon tasting these beauties from Charles Thomas, we were hooked. | Falling Bright
