Slightly darker in color than the '12, the 2013 CVR Columbia Valley Red Wine has plenty of chocolaty dark fruits, licorice and classic Cabernet herb qualities to go with a full-bodied, sexy, seamless and hard-to-resist style on the palate. While it shows the more focused nature of the vintage, it has plenty of fruit and no shortage of tannin, so while billed as the entry-level cuvee, it will still have a decade of longevity.
